To strengthen our payroll team at the Fribourg location, we are looking for a committed and reliable individual as Payroll Specialist 100%.

In this versatile role, you will take independent responsibility for the monthly payroll processing of a staff of around 600 employees. You will ensure correct, timely, and high-quality payroll processing and be a competent contact person for employees, managers, authorities, and insurance companies.

Your tasks

  • Independent execution of the monthly payroll processing for around 600 employees including recording, checking, and processing all payroll changes
  • Ensuring correct, timely, and high-quality execution of the monthly payroll runs
  • Handling all matters related to Swiss social insurances (AHV/IV/EO, ALV, BVG, etc.)
  • Processing accident, illness, and maternity notifications as well as coordination with insurance companies and external bodies
  • Maintenance and management of personnel and payroll data in the SwissSalary payroll system
  • Ensuring high data quality and contributing to the further development and optimisation of payroll processes
  • Advising and supporting employees and managers on questions regarding salary, social insurances, and administrative HR processes
  • Collaboration with authorities, insurance companies, and internal contacts
  • Support with periodic closing tasks and audits

Your profile

  • Completed commercial training, ideally supplemented by further education in payroll, social insurances, or human resources
  • Several years of professional experience in independent payroll processing in a Swiss company
  • Sound knowledge of Swiss payroll and social insurance systems
  • Experience with SwissSalary or a comparable payroll system
  • Very good MS Office skills, especially Excel
  • German as a native language or at a business fluent level, as well as good French skills (at least level B2)
  • Precise, structured, and independent working style with a strong affinity for numbers
  • High discretion, reliability, and strong service orientation
  • Enjoyment in contact with various stakeholders and working in a dynamic environment
