Job title: Part-Time Teacher of Speech and Drama
(LAMDA)
Reporting to: Head of Creative Arts

JOB PURPOSE
Aiglon College is an international boarding school based in the Swiss Alps with a worldwide reputation for providing a challenging holistic education in an inspiring setting within a safe, caring and supportive framework. The School is CIS accredited, and caters for 480 students aged 7-18 representing 70 nations. Students prepare for IGCSEs and the IB Diploma Programme.
LAMDA lessons are offered to all students at Aiglon (Year 3 to Year 13) in two forms. Firstly, as an optional private lesson. These private lessons are either 25 or 50 minutes long at the discretion of the students and parents. The lessons take place within the school day on a rotational basis, administered by the music department timetabler. The progress made by students in these lessons may lead to LAMDA examinations, performances or similar, but some students will choose LAMDA purely for themselves. Secondly, LAMDA activities are provided at the end of the school day and in the evenings depending on the requirements of the school and its students. These activity sessions are aimed at groups of students who will benefit from learning speaking and drama. The intention of these activities is both to develop the students’ LAMDA abilities, but also to provide content for assemblies, meditations, gatherings and other school events. This might include making video-based content.
