Oracle Database Administrator - Permanent Contract 100%Job DescriptionOn behalf of our client, a leading player in the private banking sector based in Geneva, we are looking for a Senior Oracle Database Administrator (Senior Oracle DBA) for a permanent, 100% position. You will join a dynamic and growing IT team and participate in the management, administration, and maintenance of critical database environments within a rich and modern technological infrastructure. In an international context, you will collaborate closely with development teams, infrastructure specialists, and business lines to ensure the availability, performance, and security of the systems. This position also offers the opportunity to work on advanced technologies and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of services.Main Responsibilities- Administer and manage Oracle databases: version upgrades and monitoring of performance, availability, and security of database environments.- Collaborate with development teams, infrastructure teams, and business lines to optimize performance and database architecture.- Define and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.- Diagnose and resolve database-related incidents while minimizing service interruptions.- Implement security best practices, particularly in terms of access control, data encryption, and regulatory compliance.- Participate in the continuous improvement of technical environments and recommend innovative solutions.- Maintain quality technical documentation and share knowledge within the team.ProfileWe are looking for a profile meeting the following criteria:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.- Proven experience as a Senior Oracle DBA, ideally in the banking or financial sector.- Excellent command of Oracle 19c.- Expertise in Oracle RMAN, Data Guard, Partitioning, Compression, TDE, and RAC.- Experience with Oracle Database Appliance (ODA): High Availability and Disaster Recovery.- Mastery of Oracle Enterprise Manager for database monitoring.- Knowledge of Oracle Exadata and Zero Loss Recovery Appliance (ZDLRA).- Solid skills in SQL, PL/SQL, Unix scripting, as well as Linux, Solaris, and Windows environments.- Experience in data migration.- Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Oracle Key Vault, Oracle Advanced Security, and CyberArk is an asset.- Experience with SQL Server is appreciated.- Residency in Switzerland.- Fluency in English; Spanish or French is a major asset.- Excellent communication and knowledge-sharing skills.- Curiosity, team spirit, and a willingness to step out of one's comfort zone to take on new technological challenges. jid36a2ea9aen jit0626aen jpiy26aen
