PostgreSQL Database Administrator (m/f/d)

On behalf of our client based in Lausanne, we are looking for a PostgreSQL DBA (m/f/d) responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and integrity of PostgreSQL databases, while supporting internal teams in information system evolution projects.
Your mission
- Install, configure, administer and maintain PostgreSQL database environments in production.
- Implement and manage backup, restoration, and access management systems in compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor performance, analyse incidents and optimise databases and queries to ensure application stability and responsiveness.
- Manage replication, high availability, and business continuity mechanisms within the PCA/PRA frameworks.
- Support development teams and project managers on data modelling, architecture choices, and best operational practices.
Your profile
- Higher education in IT such as Federal Diploma, University of Applied Sciences, University, EPFL or equivalent.
- Proven experience in PostgreSQL administration in critical production environments, with a good level of autonomy in operation and troubleshooting.
- Advanced mastery of PostgreSQL, especially in architecture, replication, partitioning, and performance optimisation.
- Good knowledge of Linux environments, particularly Red Hat or Rocky Linux, as well as automation tools such as Bash, Ansible or Python.
- Knowledge of another DBMS such as Oracle or MS SQL Server is an asset.
- Rigor, analytical mindset, service orientation, ability to work in a team and collaborate with various technical stakeholders.
