As a Junior Operations Analyst, you'll support daily middle and back-office activities across private equity and liquid portfolios - from reporting, NAV reviews, and payments to compliance and audit support in an international environment.

Operations / Back-Middle Office - Asset Management

Our client is a small and dynamic asset management firm based in Zurich, regulated in Switzerland and Luxembourg. The firm invests across both liquid and private markets, with a long-term approach focused on capital growth and wealth preservation for its investors.

To strengthen the team in Zurich, we are looking for a motivated and hands-on Junior Operations Analyst who is eager to develop strong technical and operational foundations in a flat and collaborative environment.

Description

Your Responsibilities

Operations & Middle Office

  • Support the day-to-day operational activities related to both liquid and private asset portfolios
  • Maintain and update internal reporting tools and Excel-based trackers
  • Contribute to NAV reviews, valuation checks, and the preparation of audit and financial documentation
  • Assist in preparing capital calls, distribution notices, and e-banking payments
  • Review transaction fees and positions via custodian or bank platforms
  • Support annual audit processes and ensure proper data collection and documentation

Legal & Compliance Support

  • Prepare and coordinate meeting documentation (board packs, minutes, reports)
  • Support AML/KYC processes at investor and investment levels
  • Help compile data for regulatory reports (, FINMA surveys, investment restrictions)
  • Liaise with external tax advisors and auditors as needed

Ad hoc Projects & Process Optimization

  • Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives
  • Support the invoicing process and assist with internal reporting tasks
  • Collaborate closely with the CFO and Head of Operations on various internal and corporate projects

Profile

Your Profile

  • University degree in Economics, Finance, or Business Administration
  • 0 to 3 years of experience in a financial institution (bank, asset management, or audit)
  • Good understanding of private equity concepts (, NAV, RVPI, distributions)
  • Strong Excel skills (formula-based calculations)
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); German is a strong plus for some correspondence
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive mindset
  • Motivated to learn and comfortable performing both analytical and administrative tasks
  • Able to work independently within a small, fast-paced team
