Description

How you make a difference

* You are responsible for climate, energy and environmental data Group-wide - from recording through to guaranteeing precision, completeness and compliance. You strengthen processes for acquiring, validating and reporting key figures such as CO2 emissions, energy consumption and renewable energies.
* You help to set targets and measure performance, ensure that reporting complies with regulations and keep an eye on climate and energy target attainment. You also lead the assurance process for environmental key figures and continually develop calculation methods.
* You implement best practices for non-financial data management governance - across different units and in close cooperation with specialist units such as I/T, Compliance, HR and Finance. In doing so, you harmonize data management processes and strengthen Group-wide control capacities.
* Your responsibilities also include automating data acquisition and reporting. By introducing modern technologies, integrating existing tools and implementing automation, you drive forward the digitization of non-financial data management in an impactful way.
* Thanks to precise reporting, you support integrated sustainability reporting and make non-financial data accessible and decision-relevant through use of clear dashboards and visualizations.
* You create the foundations for data-driven sustainability at Group level - and thanks to your data orientation, pragmatism and commitment, you position yourself as a reliable partner within the Sustainability team, helping us to become even stronger and more effective.

Remote working and working from home are possible. You are required to work on-site in Bern two days a week.

What you have to offer

* For this role, you need a higher university degree (Master's, MBA or PhD), possibly focusing on sustainability, environmental science or data science, or equivalent training.
* You have several years of experience in non-financial data management, greenhouse gas performance reporting or managing environmental corporate performance - ideally with expertise in our postal markets.
* You have in-depth specialist knowledge in climate and energy data management and in relevant standards such as GHG Protocol, TCFD, SBTi, GRI, CSRD and EU taxonomy. You also have vast experience in data governance, process optimization and non-financial reporting and assurance - preferably in complex corporate structures.
* You use your well-developed analytical skills to convert data-based findings into strategic decisions. In so doing, you make confident use of modern tools, Excel, visualization software, and AI and machine learning applications.
* Your strong communication skills enable you to involve stakeholders at all levels, persuading them and supporting them including through training sessions.
* You have an excellent spoken and written command of German and English. Each other national language is an advantage.

* Mobile and flexible working
* Half Fare Travelcard or contribution towards GA
