Murex / Calypso Specialist | 4+ years | Switzerland | Capital Markets | MX.3 & Calypso; configure, integrate, and support core trading-platform capabilities across front office, risk, collateral, settlements, and post-trade operations within a regulated banking environment. About the role: We’re hiring Murex / Calypso Specialists to support the implementation, enhancement, and operation of market-leading capital-markets platforms for our client in Switzerland. You will work at the intersection of front office, risk, operations, and technology, helping deliver robust solutions across the trade lifecycle. This role suits professionals with strong platform expertise and a solid understanding of trading, risk, and post-trade processes in a regulated banking environment. Responsibilities: • Analyse business requirements and translate them into functional and technical solutions within Murex and/or Calypso. • Configure, develop, and maintain platform components across front office, middle office, risk, collateral, settlements, or back-office operations. • Support implementation, migration, upgrade, and integration projects across the trade lifecycle. • Develop and maintain interfaces with surrounding systems, market-data providers, payment platforms, and reporting solutions. • Collaborate with traders, risk managers, operations teams, business analysts, architects, and external vendors. • Perform configuration, testing, defect resolution, and production-support activities. • Contribute to regulatory, risk, valuation, P&L, collateral-management, and reporting initiatives. • Prepare technical and functional documentation, ensuring solutions meet security, audit, and compliance requirements. Experience: • 4+ years of experience working with Murex and/or Calypso in a banking, asset-management, or financial-services environment. • Experience across one or more asset classes, such as FX, money markets, fixed income, equities, commodities, derivatives, or structured products. • Proven involvement in implementation, upgrade, support, integration, or business-transformation projects. • Good understanding of trading workflows, valuations, market risk, credit risk, collateral, confirmations, settlements, and accounting processes. Technical fluency: • Hands-on configuration and development experience in Murex and/or Calypso modules. • Knowledge of SQL and relational databases; Oracle experience is highly valued. • Experience with scripting, APIs, messaging, batch processing, XML, and system integrations. • For Murex profiles: familiarity with MX.3, Datamart, MxML, workflows, and reporting is an advantage. • For Calypso profiles: familiarity with Java, Calypso APIs, workflow configuration, report engines, and scheduled tasks is an advantage. • Understanding of software-development lifecycle, testing practices, release management, and production support. Ways of working: • Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to resolving complex functional and technical issues. • Able to communicate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders across front, middle, and back office. • Comfortable working in Agile or hybrid project environments with multiple priorities. • Quality-focused, proactive, and mindful of risk, controls, confidentiality, and regulatory obligations.
