This department, composed of nine medical services, has the mission of providing diagnostics, therapeutic products, therapeutic acts, and specialized clinics, of high medical quality, in the best possible timeframes and at an acceptable cost, to guide patient care and contribute to therapeutic decisions and actions.The Radiology Service, with its 300 staff, has the main mission of performing diagnostic radiology examinations and therapeutic interventions under the guidance of various imaging techniques as well as radiation protection within the operating rooms. This clinical activity includes approximately 200,000 examinations and 30,000 diagnostic and therapeutic procedures per year, a significant portion of which is provided on a 24/7 basis. The medical team of the Radiology Service facilitates 300 multidisciplinary meetings per month, on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.Medical Radiology Technician (MRT) - 50%The increasing number of fluoroscopic procedures in the operating rooms offers considerable advantages to patients while raising important issues in terms of radiation protection. As part of a project aimed at strengthening radiological safety within the eight operating rooms, under the Care Directorate, you will join the Radiology Service as an expert in radiation protection. As the driving force behind this new function, you are responsible for the implementation and continuous monitoring of medical imaging equipment. You ensure good radiation protection practices to ensure the safety of the patient as well as the staff. You work particularly on radiological techniques during the most irradiating interventions such as 3D fluoroscopy and O-Arm. You work with the radiation protection and medical physics group. Together, you contribute to developing protocols and innovative solutions by being a source of proposals aimed at strengthening the safety of all people present in the operating room. You work in close collaboration with surgeons, scrub nurses, as well as operating room assistants. Your ability to manage stress effectively and prioritize tasks is essential in this environment. Thanks to your sense of pedagogy, you provide valuable support by training and accompanying staff in the use of increasingly complex and diversified mobile fluoroscopy equipment. Thus, you contribute to improving image quality while minimizing the doses of radiation delivered to the patient and staff. Specialized training will be offered to strengthen your skills in fluoroscopy devices, as well as to familiarize you with the specificities of working in the operating room and the fundamental principles of radiation protection.You hold a diploma as a Medical Radiology Technician (MRT) or a qualification deemed equivalent, recognized and registered by the Swiss Red Cross, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in this field. A complementary diploma as an expert in radiation protection, recognized by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH), constitutes an asset. You master the tools necessary for communication and administration such as Outlook, Word, Excel and know how to manage stress when facing several simultaneous requests while highlighting your ease of communication and your ability to find solutions. You are an autonomous person capable of working in a team, demonstrating rigor and adaptability.
