Business Developer Media & DigitalWorld Radio Switzerland (WRS) is the only English-language radio and media outlet in French-speaking Switzerland. We reach listeners every month and contacts via our newsletter — an English-speaking audience with high purchasing power that is structurally underserved by French-language media. We support our partners with bespoke solutions combining audio, editorial, and digital.As part of our commercial development, we are looking for a Media & Digital Business Developer with a genuine background in media agencies, advertising sales houses, or digital agencies, capable of opening new accounts, developing solid commercial relationships, and building relevant offers based on client objectives. This is a position with high autonomy: you manage your own prospecting territory and portfolio, with a direct and measurable impact on the company's growth.MissionsYou play a key role in the development of WRS's turnover, with a strong focus on new business. In this capacity, you will be responsible for:- Identifying, prospecting, and developing new clients and partners- Creating and maintaining relationships with media agencies, advertising sales houses, digital agencies, and direct advertisers- Understanding prospect challenges and building adapted commercial proposals- Selling media and digital solutions: audio campaigns, sponsoring, editorial content, newsletter, display, social, digital audio, special operations, and cross-media offers- Managing the entire sales cycle: prospecting, initial contact, meetings, proposal, closing, and follow-up- Developing a client portfolio with a long-term perspective- Ensuring rigorous monitoring of commercial activity and the sales pipeline- Collaborating with internal teams to design coherent offers that are well-executed and aligned with client objectivesProfile soughtWe are looking for a solid, structured, and autonomous commercial profile who is comfortable in an environment where opportunities must be created. You ideally have:- 5 to 8 years of minimum experience in media, advertising sales, digital agencies, adtech, or the sale of advertising solutions- Confirmed expertise in prospecting and business development, with a demonstrable track record (accounts opened, revenue generated, objectives met)- A good understanding of digital advertising challenges and multi-platform media offers (display, social, digital audio)- The ability to maintain a credible commercial discourse with demanding interlocutors (media planners, marketing directors)- A commercial and consultative approach: you know how to listen, rephrase, recommend, and sell a solution, not just a price- Excellent interpersonal skills, good communication skills, and a real sense of service- Impeccable rigor in commercial follow-upAppreciated skills- Good understanding of digital campaign logic and main performance indicators- Experience in selling solutions combining branding, content, and digital performance- Local network in French-speaking Switzerland, particularly useful with agencies and advertisers- Marked interest in media, culture, digital, and business development- Knowledge of the radio environment is a plus without being a prerequisiteLanguages- Fluent French essential- Fluent English required, both spoken and written (English-speaking work environment)We offer- A compensation package consisting of a fixed salary, commissions, and a bonus on the acquisition of new clients- Real autonomy: you build and manage your own commercial territory- A direct and visible impact on the growth of a media outlet with a clear and differentiating positioning- A human-sized team, in a flexible setting (partial remote work possible)- A base in Geneva, at the heart of the region's economic ecosystemPlease send us your CV, accompanied by a few lines of introduction as well as, if relevant, examples of managed accounts or past successes.
