For one of our prestigious international clients, a global leader in chemistry, we are currently recruiting an experienced Marketing & Commercial Strategy Lead for a one-year temporary assignment based at their site in Basel, Switzerland.

Marketing & Commercial Strategy Lead – Global Brand



Role Purpose

The role provides strategic and visionary leadership for global brand development across a key portfolio. The successful candidate will ensure that New Product Introductions (NPIs) are positioned for long-term commercial success and that brand strategy is embedded throughout the product lifecycle.

You will work closely with cross-functional and international stakeholders, ensuring brand excellence, consistency, and measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and steward global brand strategies across the portfolio, ensuring long-term brand equity growth and alignment with commercial objectives
  • Define and drive global positioning and value propositions for New Product Introductions (NPIs)
  • Embed brand strategy, customer insights, and market intelligence into cross-functional decision-making
  • Influence and guide regional and local teams to ensure high-quality execution of global brand strategies
  • Ensure strong brand governance and consistency across markets
  • Manage global brand budgets, define investment priorities, track ROI, and report on performance
  • Translate complex technical and scientific information into compelling brand narratives in collaboration with technical and regulatory teams
  • Monitor brand performance and continuously optimize positioning and impact
  • Act as a brand ambassador internally, strengthening brand-led decision-making

Your Profile

  • University degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Strong experience in brand management or marketing leadership, ideally in technical or regulated B2B industries
  • Proven track record in global or regional brand strategy and product launches
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders in a matrix environment without direct authority
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under time pressure
  • Strategic, customer-focused, proactive, and innovative mindset
  • Excellent communication skills and quick learning ability
  • Fluent English required
