Our client, PX Précinox SA in La Chaux-de-Fonds, is a reference player in the field of precious metals. The company combines two areas of excellence since 1976: the processing and refining of precious metals. Part of the PX Group, the Swiss leader in metallurgy comprising around ten companies, PX Précinox stands out for the quality of its alloys, mastery of its entire value chain and a strong ESG commitment. Engaged in an ambitious growth dynamic, it plans to double its production capacity in the medium term. To lead this Business Unit, we are looking for a Managing Director – PX Précinox.

Reporting to the two co-CEOs and a member of the PX Group Executive Committee, you will manage PX Précinox operationally, commercially and strategically. As the conductor of an experienced Management Committee, you ensure the performance and development of the Business Unit. You consolidate the operational excellence inherited from your predecessors and accelerate market diversification in Switzerland and internationally, beyond the watchmaking sector alone. You unite your 180 employees around a common vision and a resolutely human and family-oriented corporate culture.

Your main tasks

• Lead, manage and develop the Business Unit with approximately 180 employees
• Steer the Management Committee with unifying, human and visionary leadership
• Develop the Business Unit strategy and ensure its long-term implementation
• Plan team objectives and implement the necessary means to achieve them
• Grow the company’s turnover through acquiring new clients, market diversification and Key Account management
• Promote the group’s family and ethical corporate culture to develop and motivate your teams
• Collaborate actively with general services and other Business Units of the group as a member of the Executive Committee

Your profile

• Engineering degree from a University of Applied Sciences or EPFL in materials, mechanics or chemistry, ideally complemented by an MBA
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role in industry, watchmaking or subcontracting
• Experience in managing industrial production in the field of precious metals processing or refining is a major asset
• Strong commercial and business development experience in Switzerland and internationally
• Your leadership is unifying, participative and human. Close to the field, you inspire, motivate and develop your teams
• You have excellent communication skills, great interpersonal skills and a strong sensitivity to innovation and ESG aspects. Very pragmatic and agile, you have an international vision
• Native French speaker, fluent in English
