To strengthen our management team, we are looking for a Logistics Manager for our site located in French-speaking Switzerland / in the Bern region, endowed with an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong sense of responsibility. The start date is desired as soon as possible or by agreement.ChallengesIn this versatile management function, you will assume overall responsibility for logistics and transport processes at the site. With your team of approximately 30 employees, you will ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality operations. You will report directly to the Group CEO and will be responsible for the following tasks:- Management and development of the warehouse, transport, and logistics departments- Responsibility for inventory management, inventory processes, quality assurance, as well as compliance with occupational health and safety guidelines- Guaranteeing an efficient and continuous flow of goods and processes, and managing transport activities by optimizing vehicles, personnel, and resources- Responsibility for route planning and scheduling as well as continuous cost monitoring in the field of transport and logistics- Management, encouragement, and professional development of about thirty employees and team leaders- Close cooperation with internal departments as well as professional exchanges with customers, suppliers, and partners regarding the development and strategy of the site- Continuation of the digitalization of logistics processes with a view to progressively paperless logistics- Guaranteeing a high level of service, quality, and customer satisfactionOur requirementsTo occupy this position of responsibility, you ideally meet the following criteria:- Initial training in logistics, technical, or commercial fields, supplemented by continuous training as a supply chain manager, transport and logistics manager, or an equivalent qualification constituting a major asset- Several years of professional experience in a management position in the logistics, transport, or warehousing sector- In-depth knowledge in the fields of warehouse logistics, transport management, personnel management, and process optimization- Experience in the management and development of processes and teams- Good IT skills as well as an affinity for digital logistics processes- Entrepreneurial spirit and good understanding of costs, quality, and productivity- Very good command of French as well as a good command of German, both oral and writtenYour personality: you are a resilient leader, endowed with a keen sense of responsibility.
