Join the Litigation department team at the Banque Cantonale de Genève (BCGE), an Authentic, Courageous, and Equitable bank.As a Litigation Officer, you will play a decisive role in managing contentious credit files and representing the Bank before authorities. You will actively contribute to risk control, the implementation of effective recovery strategies, and legal support for the teams.Missions- Management of the contentious credit portfolio- Collect necessary information and ensure complete follow-up of commercial and real estate files in litigation.- Conduct required recovery procedures.- Draft procedural documents intended for competent cantonal and federal authorities.- Participate in movable and immovable property sales in the context of forced auctions.- Conduct negotiations with debtors, owners, property management agencies, insurance companies, and other banking institutions.- Seek to minimize potential loss by implementing recovery strategies or adapted arrangements.- Manage and enhance the value of non-banking real estate intended for resale.- Management of provisions related to the contentious portfolio- Analyze and estimate loss risks for each file.- Determine the necessary provision amount in accordance with internal policy.- Proceed quarterly with the review of provisions with the Bank's management.- Represent the Bank before judicial authorities and recovery offices and ensure the follow-up of files entrusted to external lawyers.- Collaborate with other sectors of the Bank in a constructive spirit.- Identify sound opportunities likely to generate additional income.- Advise Front entities.- Participate in the internal training of the department.Profile- Complete legal education, punctuated by a bar exam (or experience deemed equivalent).- Confirmed experience in commercial and mortgage credits.- Excellent command of civil law and debt collection law.- Solid skills in negotiation and conflict management.- Mastery of French, as well as English and German.- Rigor, analytical mind, and keen sense of responsibility.Engagement conditions- Activity rate: 100%- Type of contract: permanent- Workplace: Geneva- Start date: as soon as possibleWant to know more about the BCGE as an employer?Consult our Careers page jidb0de502aen jit0727aen jpiy26aen
