Specialist Lawyer Job Description The Directorate of Labor Market Surveillance is responsible, among other things, for combating undeclared work and executing measures to support the free movement of persons. It protects workers by enforcing health and safety standards at work (SST) and regulates labor. As a specialist lawyer, you will join the legal department and work on high-value legal cases. You will address complex issues related to labor law, social insurance law, and laws related to the control and surveillance missions assigned to you. You will analyze various legal matters, draft decisions, opinions, and legal acts, and provide advice and support to the department and internal or external partners. Through your expertise, you contribute to the legal security of the decisions made and ensure consistency within the department. Responsibilities Participate in the execution of legal provisions protecting workers. Participate in the investigation of cases of undeclared work transmitted by various regulatory bodies and supervise the investigation of reports submitted by the parity commissions under the Law on Posted Workers (LDét). Contribute to the execution of the Employment Service and Service Provision Law (LSE). Contribute to the management of various legal procedures related to labor market surveillance. Provide legal expertise in the areas of labor market surveillance and contribute to the management of various political and legal issues related to cantonal authorities and Swiss law or similar law. Required Qualifications Confirmed professional experience in a legal function, ideally related to public law or labor law. Excellent legal analysis and writing skills. Proficiency in managing complex cases and meeting deadlines. Ability to work autonomously while closely collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
