The Vaud Hospitals Federation (FHVi) is the preferred partner of more than 12 hospitals and regional healthcare institutions in the Canton of Vaud. FHVi supports them in the many challenges of digitization in the healthcare sector and has the main missions to plan, design, implement, and operate the information system for its members. There are more than 110 staff servicing a set of more than 3,000 workstations spread over a hundred geographical sites across three cantons (VD, VS, FR). Infrastructure Architect (M/F) Join us to shape the IT infrastructure of tomorrow! As an Infrastructure Architect, you design and evolve the technical architectures that support the entire system, whether on-premise, cloud, or hybrid. You ensure the coherence, performance, security, and sustainability of the systems while aligning them with the information system and the main business objectives. Main missions: Responsibilities and activities Design and maintain the overall architecture of infrastructures: servers, storage, networks; define standards, frameworks, and best architectural practices. Develop and evolve the technical mapping and roadmap of infrastructures, anticipating future needs and technological evolution. Optimize resources, performance, and costs. Participate in technological choices: studies, POCs, benchmarks, and IT projects from the scoping phase (needs analysis, constraints, costs, risks). Advise and assist the Enterprise Architect to ensure scalable infrastructures harmonized with the overall architecture. Integrate security, service continuity, and compliance requirements into the proposed architectures. Work closely with the team and our external partners to ensure the quality, security, and performance of infrastructures. Identify technological trends and propose contributions to the evolution and enhancement of infrastructures. Participate in calls for tenders and projects by providing your technical expertise. Technical environment Systems: Windows Server, Containers: VMware, Kubernetes, Docker Cloud: M365, Azure Networks & Security: LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers Storage & Backup: SAN/NAS, backup solutions Tools: ITSM, X supervision Required skills confirmed expertise in designing complex infrastructures and knowledge in systems, networks, security, and high availability. Proven experience in cloud and hybrid environments. Ability to formalize architecture diagrams and clear technical documents. Overall vision and sense of alignment to match the infrastructure with the information system and business needs. Analytical and synthesis capacity to design clear, coherent, and effective architectures. Leadership and ability to unite teams around projects with a strong spirit of collaboration. Higher education (5 years or more) in a similar position or appreciated in engineering (VMware, AWS/Azure, Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet, security, etc.).
