For the Euresearch Network Office in Bern we are looking for an Intern on intelligence gathering to support Euresearch in mapping innovative deeptech Swiss Starups and SMEs in the context of EU Research and Innovation funding.
Starting date: 1 November 2026 or upon agreement

Euresearch is a non\-profit association with the mission to inform and advise Swiss applicants on the European Research \& Innovation Programme Horizon Europe. Euresearch is funded by the State Secretariat or Education, Research and Innovation.
Your Role
In this role, you will be immersed in the Swiss research and innovation ecosystem, and you will learn first\-hands under the supervision of a senior colleague the ins and outs of EU R\&I funding for Swiss companies.
You will support developing data backed intelligence on Swiss start\-ups and SMEs that could benefit from European funding under Horizon Europe, in particular under the European Innovation Council.
The work includes a significant part of desk research and data management to collect, analyse, compile and visualize information from different data sources, websites, newsletters, databases, etc. The objective is to develop targeted action plans based on the intelligence gathered.
You will contribute to defining the strategy for sourcing the most relevant data, approaching identified start\-ups and SMEs, and identifying key multiplier organisations. The role may also involve designing and running surveys, supporting the development of communication campaigns and interacting with key stakeholders from the Swiss research and innovation ecosystem.
Your Profile
Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in a technical/policy/business field
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 including Teams and Excel; experience in Power BI is an asset
Ability to work independently, take initiative and manage tasks in a structured way
Detail\-oriented with strong analytical skills and an interest in working with data
Experience with data management, AI\-based tools and CRM would be an advantage
Strong interest in startups, research, technologies and innovation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a service\-oriented mindset
Enjoy networking, working in an international environment, and contributing to a dynamic team
Fluent in English
