GENERAL MISSION
MPC Mélanges Produits Chimiques Sàrl is seeking an International Trade Manager, Compliance & Maghreb Development responsible for coordinating and developing the company’s commercial, regulatory, documentary and administrative operations between Europe and the North African markets.
The position involves constant coordination between industrial, logistical, banking, regulatory and commercial partners located notably in Switzerland, Belgium, France, Algeria, Libya and other Maghreb countries.
The post holder contributes to the development of MPC’s activities, the securing of international operations and the compliance of cross-border trade flows.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- International commercial development
- Participate in the development of MPC’s activities in the Maghreb markets.
- Ensure the operational interface between European and North African partners.
- Participate in the identification and structuring of new commercial partnerships.
- Support the development of the company’s activities in international markets.
- Participate in the implementation of growth and regional expansion projects.
- Foreign trade & regulatory compliance
- Supervise the documentary compliance of international operations.
- Ensure the monitoring of commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates, safety data sheets (SDS) and customs documents.
- Guarantee compliance with regulations applicable to foreign trade operations.
- Ensure the conformity of flows with ADR, CLP regulations and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate legal, fiduciary, insurance partners and control bodies.
- Banking coordination & international operations
- Maintain relationships with banking institutions involved in international operations.
- Participate in the monitoring of bank domiciliation files, international payments and documentary operations.
- Contribute to the financial and regulatory security of foreign trade operations.
- Ensure the interface between commercial, banking and logistical partners.
- International logistics coordination
- Supervise logistical flows between Europe and the Maghreb markets.
- Coordinate operations with freight forwarders, carriers and logistical partners.
- Participate in optimising transport schemes and documentary flows.
- Ensure the monitoring of supply and distribution operations.
- Contribute to the overall performance of international operations.
Mandatory requirements
- University degree or equivalent in management, finance, audit, international trade, business law or related field.
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience in management, finance, audit, regulatory compliance, foreign trade or coordination of international operations.
- Proven experience in managing or coordinating activities involving multiple partners and jurisdictions.
- Strong knowledge of trade flows between Europe and the Maghreb.
- In-depth knowledge of administrative, banking, customs and regulatory procedures related to foreign trade operations with Algeria.
- Proven experience in documentary and administrative management of international operations.
- Excellent written and spoken command of French and Arabic.
- Professional English.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple international partners simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of the economic and regulatory environment of Maghreb countries.
- Availability for regular business travel in Switzerland, Europe and Maghreb countries.
