Attached to the Medical and Quality Directorate of the HUG, the pharmacy's mission is to ensure a reliable and responsive supply of medicines, from the pharmacy to the care units, anticipating market risks, to manufacture customised medicines in compliance with quality standards to improve safety of use, to offer expertise to healthcare professionals and patients to optimise medication management from prescription to administration, and to be a reference and competence centre in training, teaching and research, integrating innovative methods.

You participate, together with pharmacy technicians, logisticians and pharmacy assistants, in the routine pharmacist activity of the Pharmaceutical Logistics Unit of the HUG pharmacy. Under the supervision of project lead pharmacists and their deputies, you ensure the proper functioning of medicine supply and their availability to patients.

In collaboration with two other pharmacists, you are the point of contact for various requests from doctors and care units related to obtaining medicines, you supervise the management of shortages, and you manage stocks of illicit narcotics. You monitor prescriptions of critical medicines. You lead the process of batch control and recall with the quality assurance manager.

You guarantee the implementation of the medication policy and quality and safety procedures. You contribute to the continuous improvement of the organisation, working closely with other pharmacists in the unit, including participating in cross-sectional meetings with other units or services (clinical pharmacy, production).

You participate in the training and supervision of pharmacy staff including learners (MAS, interns).

You hold the federal pharmacist diploma or an equivalent qualification. You have significant experience in organising and coordinating activities related to the medication circuit. You possess excellent skills in using IT tools (office software and logistics management).

You have a sense of organisation and priorities, are autonomous and bring great rigour to your work. You are recognised for your ability to work in a team, your interpersonal skills, your collaborative spirit, good communication skills and excellent stress resistance. You have perfect command of French, preferably German or English, and good writing skills.

At least 2 years of successful experience in the hospital field and a completed specialisation in hospital pharmacy (MAS, FPH, DES) are substantial assets.
