Documentation Specialist (%)The HES-SO Valais-Wallis trains students and contributes, through research, to economic and social development as well as to job creation. Its School of Health, with the Physiotherapy program in Leukerbad, the French-speaking Nursing program in Sion, and the German-speaking Nursing program in Visp, as well as an innovative and interdisciplinary R&D institute, trains the high-level health professionals of tomorrow. Join our team!To complete the team at the School of Health, we are advertising the position of:Documentation Specialist (%)Your main mission- Participate in the development of training on information literacy skills for students, teaching staff, and administrative staff- Conduct training sessions (in person or online, throughout the academic year, with varying durations from 45 minutes to one day)- Plan and/or adapt training sessions in accordance with the pedagogical objectives of the current framework curricula- Ensure the development of new training sessions for the various target audiences in tandem with the responsible librarians- Participate in the implementation of projects or educational materials related to skills and emerging technologies (digitalization, artificial intelligence, etc.)Other missions- Ensure the lending service (reception, interlibrary loan), support, and advice for users- Participate in the archiving of research publications on the institutional repository (ArODES)- Contribute to the development, processing, and updating of collections (paper and digital) and participate in all current library activities (monitoring, acquisitions, weeding, etc.)- Contribute to the missions, services, development, and visibility of the School of Health at its various sitesYour profile- Required diploma: Holder of a HES Bachelor in Information Science or a title deemed equivalent- Professional experience: Proven experience of several years in training on information literacy skills in an academic and/or specialized library- Technical expertise:- Mastery of advanced documentary research techniques in scientific databases, particularly in the health field- Mastery of the Zotero reference management software- Knowledge of the SLSP network and the ALMA library management software- IT skills: Marked interest in emerging technologies and trends in the field of libraries and the IT environment- Soft skills and pedagogical aptitude:- Ease and pedagogical skills- Ability to work in a versatile manner (independently and in a team) and to demonstrate proactivity- Keen sense of public service and knowledge transmission- Language skills: French speaker with good knowledge of German; bilingual French-German is an assetEmployment rate: %Workplace: Main location in Sion, weekly travel to Leukerbad, and occasional travel to other sitesStart date: June 1 or by agreement (for one year, renewable)The co-heads of the library of the School of Health will provide, upon request, all desired information regarding the job description.
