The love of Swiss Chocolate for 125 years in Fribourg. Our chocolate factory, founded by Wilhelm Kaiser in 1901, is still present in Fribourg. We make our famous Têtes au Choco, our chocolates with liqueur, and also various types of milk chocolates from the region.
To support the different operational teams, we are looking for a
Maintenance Technician
Main tasks
Ensure the optimal operation of the company’s equipment in a specific activity sector through regular and preventive maintenance, controls and adjustments on the line
Participate in ensuring a good climate of dialogue with customer services.
Ensure the transmission of information between each member of the maintenance team and with the customer teams.
Update machine documentation after modifications according to established rules.
Complete various recording documents according to established rules.
Apply and enforce safety and hygiene instructions during interventions. Inform production staff (or manager) after an intervention.
Exclude, identify, alert in case of risk of foreign body presence or chemical contamination before or during an intervention.
Alert as soon as an anomaly appears to guarantee consumer safety.
Participate in fault analysis and in establishing the maintenance plan for the entire equipment park of the sectors under their responsibility.
Participate in studies and implementation of new industrial equipment.
Be a source of proposals for improvements in organisation, equipment or procedures including in the field of personnel safety and food safety.
Quality
Apply and enforce hygiene and personal safety rules for oneself, colleagues and external persons in accordance with company practices. Ensure food safety and product quality at all stages of production, maintenance, storage and delivery. Systematically inform hierarchy or quality manager of any observed non-compliance. Main tasks
This position requires shift work (either morning or afternoon) and on-call duties some weekends (approx. once every 5-6 weeks)
Experience and skills
5-10 years of experience in a similar position, ideally with experience in automation and/or electricity
