THE POSITION
These are your key tasks:
  • Support the operational implementation of FIFA's human rights due diligence processes in line with FIFA's Human Rights Policy, the FIFA Statutes, relevant UN conventions, UN declarations and guidance
  • Facilitate the FIFA Anti-Racism and Anti-Discrimination Committee
  • Facilitate the FIFA Global Stand against Racism
  • Coordinate and implement inclusion and anti-discrimination measures in relation to FIFA events, with a focus on the FIFA World Cup 2030?, the FIFA Women's World Cup 2027?, the FIFA Women's World Cup 2031? and the FIFA World Cup 2034? and ensure close collaboration with respective host entities
  • Develop and implement the FIFA Global Stand against Racism, including the anti-discrimination three-step procedure, the No Racism Gesture and the Players' Voice Panel
  • Liaise with and advise FIFA Member Associations to promote inclusion and anti-discrimination and strengthen their approach in this regard
  • Develop and operate educational programs on inclusion and anti-discrimination in football for FIFA Member Associations and address discrimination-related risks in football at national levels
  • Contribute to innovative solutions to uphold human rights and anti-discrimination in relation to safety, security and service
  • Give expert advice to support the implementation of FIFA communication campaigns and the FIFA Social Media Protection Service
  • Promote the integration of international inclusion and anti-discrimination standards in FIFA regulations governing football
  • Engage proactively and meaningfully with external stakeholders, paying particular attention to groups or populations that may be at a heightened risk of being adversely impacted, including but not limited to women and children; indigenous peoples; national or ethnic, religious and linguistic minorities; persons with disabilities; migrant workers and their families; human rights defenders, journalists and other media workers; LGBTQI+ communities; groups that suffer from intersectional discrimination, unsheltered populations; and underserved populations - and with their legitimate representatives
  • Produce reports and recommendations for senior management and key committees
  • Collaborate closely and constructively with other members of the FIFA Human Rights & Anti-Discrimination Department, other FIFA functional areas, the FIFA Foundation, the FIFA Museum and local entities responsible for the organisation of FIFA competitions
  • Closely monitor international best practice, legislative and intergovernmental developments and advise the Head of Human Rights & Anti-Discrimination on the implication of the strategic orientation of FIFA's approach to inclusion and anti-discrimination

The specific competencies we require for this position are:
  • True subject matter expert with track record of 5+ years as a results-oriented business and human rights professional in an international context
  • Experience in implementing labour rights
  • Demonstrated experience and success in engaging with diverse human rights stakeholders - global organisations, NGOs, governmental bodies and/or grassroots groups
  • Master's degree or similar in a field related to human rights, DEI, international affairs, politics or global governance
  • Continued education in related matters an advantage
  • Knowledge of international fan culture is an asset
  • Fluent in English
  • Proficiency in another or other languages (in particular, Arabic, French, Portuguese and/or Spanish) is an asset
  • Proficient in Word / PowerPoint / Excel / with miro and Canva being an asset
  • High ethical standards and personal integrity
  • In-depth knowledge of the inclusion and anti-discrimination in sports landscape, relevant UN conventions, declarations and guidance, including the UN Guiding Principles on Business and other recognised international human rights standards, and experience in applying them in a corporate environment
