The City of Geneva offers a position for: Apprentice Horticulturist CFC, plant production (perennials) Your mission During your apprenticeship, you will learn to produce, cultivate, plant, and market perennials, as well as maintain rock gardens and perennial beds, in accordance with the specifications of the Bourgeon label (organic farming). You will participate in: - carrying out plant propagation (seeding, cuttings, division, etc.), - monitoring the health and development of plants, - diagnosing damage causes and providing necessary care to crops and beds, - contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of historical plant collections, - occasionally collaborating on the development and maintenance of the nursery, as well as the upkeep of green spaces, - participating in cultural missions related to the protection of threatened indigenous species, - collecting and conditioning seeds from perennials for exchange or assisting in the creation of new arrangements, setting up exhibitions, and maintaining an alpine garden. At the same time, you will acquire the necessary knowledge to advise and guide clients in garden design.
