The Saphir Foundation, a multi-mission and multi-site foundation (psychogeriatrics, geriatrics, adult psychiatry), is active in the medico-social field in the canton of Vaud and particularly in the reception and support of people weakened in their physical and mental integrity during their lives.
Within this framework and to complete our team, we are looking for our Temporary Reception Centre (CAT) Manureva in Orges, which has 25 places in psychogeriatrics:
Health Assistant or Care and Support Aide (M/F/D) on a permanent contract at 60% - CAT Manureva
Whatever their role, the professionals at the Saphir Foundation share a common goal: to support people daily to enable them to concretely experience the institutional service strategy "like at home". That is, to preserve their habits as much as possible, offer a response adapted to their wishes and, through genuine interprofessional collaboration, ensure the well-being and happiness of the people.
Within our Temporary Reception Centre, you support people in daily living activities, taking into account their support plan, abilities and level of autonomy. You carry out delegated care tasks within your role and help maintain a safe, warm and stimulating environment.
In collaboration with the interprofessional team or independently, you prepare, organise and lead activities adapted to the needs and wishes of the people received. Comfortable in the kitchen, you participate in preparing meals, snacks and culinary workshops, considered as genuine moments of sharing, pleasure and maintaining abilities. You also ensure the transportation of people during outdoor activities, thus contributing to maintaining social ties and their openness to the region.
YOUR BACKGROUND - YOUR QUALITIES AND SKILLS
- You hold a CRS Health Assistant certificate or an AFP in Care and Support Aide (ASA) or an equivalent qualification.
- You have proven experience in supporting elderly people, ideally in psychogeriatrics.
- You are comfortable performing delegated care tasks.
- You enjoy cooking and are able to prepare simple meals and conduct culinary activities with the people received.
- You hold a category B driving licence and are comfortable driving a minibus-type vehicle (9 seats).
- Knowledge of the northern Vaud region is an asset.
- You demonstrate empathy, kindness and an attitude focused on the well-being of the person.
- You appreciate working in an interprofessional team and communicate appropriately.
- You are proficient in French (spoken and written) as well as common computer tools.
