Job Description

In relation to care

  • Maintain and develop skills through continuing education.
  • Identify crisis situations, take the first appropriate measures within one’s scope of competence and refer to the nurse.
  • Provide assistance with daily living activities: hygiene, nutrition, mobilisation, elimination.
  • Participate in the therapeutic education of the patient and their relatives to promote autonomy and social reintegration.
  • Carry out medical prescriptions and delegated care within one’s competencies.
  • Ensure the maintenance, cleaning and disinfection of furniture and care equipment according to procedures.

In relation to the team

  • Participate in the organisation of the service and the distribution of work.
  • Ensure regular, clear and effective oral and written communication of information, respecting the hierarchical channel.
  • After 2 years of experience, contribute to the supervision and evaluation of certified nursing assistants, nursing aides, ASSC students and trainees.

In relation to the institution

  • Actively collaborate with other hospital sectors.
  • Update elements of the computerised care record in accordance with institutional requirements.

In relation to the outside

  • Participate in collaboration with ASSC schools (reception, follow-up, coordination according to current modalities).

Qualifications

  • Hold a Federal VET Diploma as Assistant in Community Care and Health
  • Have a good team spirit and great versatility
  • Know how to prioritise and organise activities
  • Professional awareness, motivation, flexibility, dynamism as well as good stress resistance
  • Experience in acute care is an asset
  • Good knowledge of German is an asset
