Head of the Alp ICT Programme 80% to 100%
Founded in 1976, the Office for the Promotion of Industries and Technologies (OPI) is a private law foundation that supports the development of industrial companies, stimulates innovation, and strengthens synergies within the Geneva ecosystem.It notably manages Alp ICT, an inter-cantonal networking and promotion programme for Information and Digital Technologies.
In this context, the candidate will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the overall management of the programme by promoting expertise in the field of information technologies at the Romandy level (Geneva, Fribourg, Jura, Neuchâtel, Valais and Vaud) and strengthening collaborations between economic, academic, institutional actors and innovation support organisations.
- Managing the administrative and financial aspects of the programme, in collaboration with OPI.
You enjoy creating connections, showcasing expertise and working with a variety of actors in digital, innovation and the regional economy. Curious, sociable and solution-oriented, you know how to spot opportunities, animate a network and transform field needs into useful services. With the support of a digital and multimedia communication officer, you will coordinate the programme’s activities around four main axes:
Promote the actors of the Romandy digital ecosystem
- Identify, document and disseminate initiatives, expertise and significant achievements in the information technology sector in Western Switzerland.
- Conduct sectoral monitoring in the digital field to support companies in managing digital aspects within their business models.
- Write, simplify and create content dedicated to highlighting the actors of the digital ecosystem.
Develop and deploy the programme’s services
- Develop the action plan supporting the programme’s strategy.
- Adapt and evolve the programme’s services to the needs of companies and participating cantons.
- Actively seek other sources of funding (sponsorship, etc.).
Manage and animate the programme
- Animate and develop the community as well as internal and external partners (companies, research institutes, associations, political structures), strengthening and developing collaborations within the ecosystem.
- Develop synergies between programmes (Micronarc, BioAlps, CleantechAlps) and with RIS-SO coaching entities to support business networking and stimulate innovation projects.
- Actively represent the programme at professional events and partner meetings (trade fairs, conferences, seminars), including roles in facilitation, moderation or presentations.
Coordinate administrative and financial management
- Financial monitoring including the annual budget.
- Manage suppliers within the framework of subcontracted activities.
- Organise meetings of steering and governance bodies (Steering Committee, Alp ICT expert committees, ARI-SO, networking, etc.).
- Update the Alp ICT database of digital actors and companies with the support of the communication officer.
- Ensure achievement of the set performance indicators (KPIs).
Education and experience
Demonstrate solid professional experience in the information technology sector, gained with clients or various interlocutors, as well as a good understanding of projects related to marketing, communication and partnership management.

Additional qualifications
- Proficiency in office software and common collaborative tools
- Excellent command of French, written and spoken
- Good command of English, written and spoken; German is a plus
- Knowledge of Geneva political sensitivities is desirable
Working environment
- Pleasant working atmosphere in a modern and friendly setting
- Main workplace is at OPI headquarters, Rte de la Galaise 34 in Plan-les-Ouates, with regular travel in Western Switzerland related to programme activities
- Remote working conditions will be formalised upon hiring
