HYDRO Exploitation SA is an important service provider, particularly active in the operation and maintenance of power generation plants. We bring together all the necessary expertise under one roof, from maintenance personnel to engineering.

We operate and maintain a portfolio of more than 40 hydropower plants. Their installed capacity corresponds to approximately 22% of the hydropower capacity available in Switzerland (25% including the pumping stations). Together, the plants we operate generate about 16% of Switzerland's hydropower electricity.

Thanks to our unique expertise, we offer our customers high value-added services that meet their diverse needs and high quality standards. Our range of services is aimed at electricity companies, public institutions, transport companies, and industry. We mainly operate in Switzerland but occasionally carry out assignments abroad.

Head of Development & Sales Unit (80-100%)

Your mission :

You are responsible for managing and further developing the Development & Sales unit of HYDRO Exploitation.
In this role, you structure and develop a portfolio of products and services in the company’s technical areas, integrating a product management approach.
You actively contribute to the medium-term growth target of the business by coordinating sales activities and administrative support processes.

Your tasks :

  • Lead and further develop the unit consisting of specialised salespeople and back-office staff.
  • Define and implement the commercial strategy in collaboration with senior management.
  • Define, structure, and further develop the portfolio of products and services in connection with HYDRO Exploitation’s technical departments (mechanics, electrical engineering, civil engineering and geodesy, automation, overhaul workshops).
  • Introduce a product management methodology, monitor economic performance (KPIs), and prepare the company’s business plan.
  • Conduct industry-specific benchmarks and support the technical departments in preparing specific business plans.
  • Contribute to the strategic positioning of the company in its key markets; expand sales activities and ensure the acquisition of new customers and markets.
  • Lead and support the sales team as well as the administrative support functions.
  • Oversee the offer processes – from identifying opportunities through contract drafting to after-sales service.


Your skills :

  • Higher education (ETH/FH/University) in a technical field (mechanics, electrical engineering, civil engineering) or equivalent, ideally complemented by management training.
  • Proven professional experience (at least 5 years) in an industrial environment or in technical services.
  • Experience in business development and/or product management, with responsibility for results.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in managing interdisciplinary teams.
  • High customer orientation, entrepreneurial thinking, and the ability to structure a growing activity.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Native French or German speaker with good knowledge of the other language; English is an advantage.
