In anticipation of the incumbent's retirement, the Territorial Development Service is advertising the position of Mission
Do you wish to play an important role in the evolution of mobility and transport provision in the Jura region? By leading the Mobility and Transport Section of the Territorial Development Service (TDS), you develop legislation and strategic cantonal planning related to mobility and public transport for the authorities and implement them. You manage the processes of offer development, ordering, financing and promotion of public transport as well as the monitoring and support of infrastructure projects. You hold a key role in relations with institutional partners and transport companies. You supervise the section's services concerning intermodal mobility, parking and soft mobility. You ensure the management and coordination of a team, ensuring the achievement of objectives, skills development and maintaining a constructive working atmosphere. You optimise the functioning of the section and work within the TDS management team, under the direction of the head of service. You are a source of proposals for the authorities.
Profile
Holding a HE or university master’s degree in economics, civil engineering or law, or training and experience deemed equivalent, you have at least two years’ professional experience in the field of mobility, gained in a position of responsibility and management. You possess good knowledge of the planning, ordering and financing processes of public transport in Switzerland. You have excellent management skills, including leadership, decision-making and effective team management. You demonstrate great rigour in financial management and a keen sense of organisation and priorities. You have the ability to design and deploy strategies, as well as a great capacity to adapt to changing framework conditions, whether predictable or sudden. Results-oriented, you have strong analytical and negotiation skills as well as an excellent ability to synthesise. Able to work in a network, you have verbal and written fluency and the ability to conduct meetings dynamically, efficiently and effectively. You have good oral and written skills in German.

Work environment
Comprising about half a dozen employees, the Mobility and Transport Section is part of the Territorial Development Service, which has around forty employees. You thus work in a multidisciplinary and stimulating environment, at the heart of several essential public policies for the proper functioning of society.
