Description
What you’ll do
- Build, analyze and interpret FEA models of stirred-milling parts and assemblies in Ansys Mechanical
- Provide proof of stability for static and dynamic loads and complete structural analysis of mill components and special tools
- Suggest modifications and improvements to part designs based on simulation results
- Prioritize activities supporting new product development and continuous improvement projects in collaboration with the Engineering Team, Stirred Mills
- Continuous development and optimization of calculation methods and tools
- Support the Services business to expedite fixes for emergent issues
- Prepare technical reports, papers and presentations as required
- Participate in internal and external meetings and workshops
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field and master’s degree is a plus
- Experience in performing FEA calculations, simulations and analysis in the field of mechanical engineering and drive systems
- Strong knowledge of FEA using Ansys Mechanical; ability to create and modify 3D models in multiple CAD systems
- Experience with DEM and CFD is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills in English and German
- Highly motivated, precise and able to meet targets
