What You Will Be Doing
As an Export & Import Specialist, you will play a key role in managing our global trade flows from start to finish. This includes:
- Handling and coordinating import and export orders from placement to final delivery, ensuring all necessary documentation is in order.
- Acting as the primary contact for internal teams and external partners regarding transport, export processes, and customs inquiries.
- Ensuring compliance with trade regulations, export control rules, and internal guidelines.
- Obtaining export and re-export licenses (including adherence to US regulations) and coordinating letters of credit and bank guarantees.
- Booking freight, organizing hazardous goods shipments, and managing freight and customs costs.
What You Should Bring
The ideal candidate possesses:
- 3-5 years of experience in handling import and export orders within international trade.
- Relevant training in export or foreign trade, preferably with a background in logistics or industrial sectors.
- A solid understanding of export control regulations and US re-export rules.
- An independent, proactive work style with a solid grasp of products, technologies, and customer needs.
- Strong communication capabilities in German and English, with a structured, process-oriented approach.
