The EHS Manager drives the successful implementation and continuous optimization of Environmental, Occupational Health, and Safety (EHS) programs in collaboration with Bioconjugates Operations in Visp. As the primary EHS contact for Bioconjugation Plants, this role enables safe, compliant, and sustainable manufacturing of chemically modified biomolecules. Benefits in Visp: https://bit.ly/3wjkoFi What you will do: Act as the primary EHS contact for assigned operational units and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements Support and conduct EHS risk assessments, including evaluation of technical change requests Provide EHS expertise during Safety Gemba Walks, audits, inspections, and incident investigations Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and track implementation progress Collaborate with, train, and support Safety Coaches to strengthen EHS initiatives and site culture Deliver EHS training aligned with site strategy and promote best practices in safety and sustainability Support workplace risk assessments, PPE guidance, and fire and emergency preparedness What we are looking for: University degree (Bachelor/Master) in Pharmaceutical Technology, Chemistry, Process Engineering, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology or equivalent professional qualification Proven process understanding in pharmaceutical or biotechnological manufacturing Swiss safety specialist certification (EKAS, ASGS) or comparable EHS qualification In-depth knowledge of Swiss safety regulations and occupational safety standards Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence stakeholders Advanced experience in occupational safety in scientific or technical environments German language skills are an advantage About Lonza At Lonza, our people are our greatest strength.
