Description
As a Works Director, you are responsible for the overall management of construction sites, from the consultation phase to the handover of works. You ensure the proper execution of projects in a demanding environment, involving interventions on occupied sites.
You play a key role in coordinating stakeholders, managing site constraints, and maintaining quality communication.
As part of the development of its activities in energy renovation, a well-established organisation in the Geneva market is seeking an experienced Works Director to manage large-scale operations on occupied sites.
You will work on multi-building projects, with significant technical, organisational, and human challenges.
Responsibilities
Project management during the construction phase
* Take charge of energy renovation operations from the execution phase
* Plan, organise and coordinate all works
* Ensure compliance with deadlines, costs, and quality of deliverables
Tender and contractor management
* Prepare tender documents
* Manage tenders and analyse proposals
* Negotiate and award contracts to companies
* Ensure contractual follow-up of agents and contractors
Site supervision
* Coordinate the various trades
* Supervise work progress and anticipate issues
* Guarantee the conformity of completed works
* Provide regular reporting to stakeholders
Management of projects on occupied sites
* Ensure smooth communication with occupants
* Manage constraints related to building operations
* Demonstrate diplomacy and pedagogy in handling sensitive situations
* Maintain a high level of user satisfaction
Candidate profile
* Minimum 5 years of experience in works management
* Proven experience in energy renovation
* Experience managing multi-building projects, ideally in occupied housing
* Strong command of tender phases and execution follow-up
