The Vaud Hospitals Federation IT ( FHVi ) is the preferred IT partner of 12 hospitals and regional health institutions in the canton of Vaud. FHVi supports them in the many challenges of digital transformation in the health sector and its main missions are to plan, design, implement and operate the IT system of its members. There are more than 120 employees serving 14,000 users, with a fleet of over 8,000 workstations spread across about a hundred geographical sites and three cantons (VD, VS, FR).



  • Senior Integration Engineer / Developer


The position is open to both women and men. For ease of reading, masculine terms are used only.

By joining our interoperability team, you will contribute with the help of our architecture unit to the interoperability of our health information system.

Your mission:

The purpose of the position is to maintain and develop our integration platforms to ensure their sustainability and reliability. You will play a key role in managing interoperability flows and connecting the various applications of our hospital information system.

Your main activities and responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the enterprise architect to evolve interoperability platforms and technical architectures.
  • Design and implement interoperability flows in collaboration with application managers and business analysts.
  • Ensure evolutionary and corrective maintenance of integration platforms and guarantee their reliability.
  • Plan and carry out technical updates and maintenance operations.
  • Define and control development and deployment rules.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation.
  • Participate in resolving level 3 support incidents related to integration.
  • Conduct technological watch on data exchange protocols and standards (HL7, FHIR…).

Profile sought:

Education:

  • Degree in computer engineering (HES / EPF) or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in system integration, ETL or integration-oriented development.
  • Experience with Apache NiFi (an asset)
  • Experience in integration of heterogeneous systems and management of complex flows.
  • Hospital or health sector experience appreciated.
  • Autonomy and ability to manage end-to-end missions, including N3 run and Mirth.

Technical skills:

  • Mastery of integrations via REST and/or SOAP APIs.
  • Good knowledge of SOA, Microservices and API architectures.
  • Knowledge of Mirth.
  • Strong knowledge of databases: MSSQL, MongoDB, SolR.
  • Skills in development and data manipulation (SQL, XML, JSON, Groovy).
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments.
  • Knowledge of health interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR) appreciated.
