Telecom Infrastructure Specialist (m/f/d)

On behalf of our client based in Geneva, we are looking for a Telecom Infrastructure Specialist (m/f/d) responsible for operating telecom infrastructures and IT premises, while contributing to the evolution projects of network and telecom equipment on user sites.
Your mission
- Ensure the daily smooth operation of data centres, telecom nodes, POPs, and telecom infrastructure.
- Operate, maintain, and service IT premises as well as associated technical infrastructures.
- Plan radio coverage of buildings for wifi, GSM, and DECT environments.
- Coordinate the installation of fixed equipment connected to the network, such as cameras, antennas, intercoms, and access control systems.
- Handle technical support, level 2 incident resolution, project and site documentation, as well as on-call duties according to the established schedule.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or telecommunications engineering, ideally complemented by continuing education at CAS level related to the role.
- Proven experience of over 5 years as a telecom engineer, with at least 3 years of practice in operating telecom infrastructures and IT premises such as data centres, POPs, or technical rooms.
- Excellent knowledge of telecom installations, including physical networks, access controls, thermal containment, as well as coordination of equipment such as active networks, wifi antennas, indoor GSM, DECT, and intercoms.
- Mastery of radio planning and wifi quality measurement tools, with good additional knowledge in HVAC, servers, and storage.
- Good general knowledge of Cisco network equipment and main network services, including Ethernet, IP routing, and VLAN; Cisco CCNA certification is a valued asset.
- Experience in video surveillance, knowledge of technical standards and guidelines related to telecom installations, as well as successful experience in a Geneva state environment are additional advantages.
