Specialist Demand & Supply Planner


At L+S you take on a key role between sales, production and purchasing. With forward-looking demand and supply planning, you ensure the availability of our products and reduce waste as well as food waste. The start is in Kloten with training, afterwards the role moves to the new location in Oberbuchsiten. Flexibility and willingness to travel are important.

What you achieve

  • You create short-, medium- and long-term sales forecasts and ensure reliable demand planning.
  • You take into account relevant influencing factors such as promotions, seasonal fluctuations, weather influences as well as assortment changes and innovations.
  • You manage the stocks of finished products proactively and in compliance with the rotation rules FIFO/FEFO.
  • You identify bottleneck and overstock risks early and actively contribute to minimising waste and food waste.
  • You coordinate daily with production plants, suppliers, sales and marketing to respond flexibly to changes in demand or production deviations.
  • You support and co-moderate the S&OP process and bring together the interests of sales and production into an effective plan.
  • You monitor relevant KPIs such as forecast accuracy and bias, service level, coverage, write-offs and adherence to the production plan and derive measures from them.

What you bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (university, university of applied sciences)
  • Field: or a Master’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business administration or a comparable qualification, e.g. in the food sector.
  • Professional experience: 3 to 5 years of professional experience in demand or supply planning, ideally in the food industry, FMCG environment or retail.
  • Very good knowledge of an ERP/supply chain system such as SAP PP/MM/APO or SAP IBP.
  • Excellent Excel skills, especially in handling pivot tables, Power Query and ideally macros.
  • A deep understanding of the requirements of fast-moving consumer goods, just-in-time processes and fresh logistics.
  • An analytical, precise and structured way of thinking as well as enjoyment in working with large amounts of data and many items.
