Interventional Cardiology Nurse at 80-100%

Reference: CLS/RH/2026.746 / Contract type: Permanent contract from 80 to 100% / Hours: Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm on average / Start date: as soon as we find the right person / Location: in the heart of Lausanne (M2 stop "Riponne" or Bus 2, 3 or 21 stop "Beaulieu-Jomini")

You work in interventional cardiology and wish to apply your expertise to a rapidly developing activity within a catheterisation laboratory equipped with state-of-the-art technology? Our team wishes to welcome a motivated nurse to contribute to demanding and innovative interventional cardiology care.

 

 

What will you be expected to do?

 

  • Prepare daily and ensure the functionality of the catheterisation laboratory
  • Position patients according to specific interventional cardiology examinations
  • Organise and manage instrumentation by assisting operators during various examinations
  • Master and participate in different diagnostic and therapeutic strategies in interventional cardiology
  • Monitor patients during examinations and administer medication on medical orders
  • Ensure electronic traceability of data and procedures
  • Contribute to the smooth running of interventions by applying hygiene, asepsis and radiation protection rules
  • Be able to adapt and act effectively in emergency situations
  • Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and provide, on a rota basis, an on-call service from 4 pm to 10 pm, which is planned to be implemented soon.

 

 

Who will you be working with?

  • The close-knit interventional cardiology team, composed of five caregivers, works in a warm and friendly atmosphere. It works in close synergy with the medical team and technical resources, thus ensuring a quality service to provide personalised care to each patient.

  • Michel Marclay, Head of Intensive Care and Cardiology, has over 25 years of practical experience in intensive medicine. He is described as a pragmatic person with a touch of idealism, paying particular attention to collaboration, communication and trust. He is constantly seeking new development and progress solutions.

 

What do we expect from you?

 

Your expertise:

  • Hold a HES nursing diploma or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Swiss Red Cross
  • Have experience in acute care, ideally in interventional cardiology, catheterisation laboratory or cardiac intensive care
  • Demonstrate composure, precision and anticipation skills in urgent situations
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to safe and smooth patient care
  • Show flexibility in working hours, especially for urgent situations
  • Reside within a distance compatible with upcoming on-call duties, i.e. less than one hour from the facility


What will make the difference:

  • Master the main interventional cardiology procedures and patient care in a technical environment
  • Work or have worked in an environment combining cath lab and cardiac intensive care
  • Master the CardioReport software or have significant experience in its use
  • Participate or wish to be involved in specialised interventional procedures
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of quality and safety of care
  • Show a strong interest in technological innovations in cardiology and evolving practices
