We are recruiting, on behalf of our client, a Civil Engineering Project Manager to strengthen a team recognised for its expertise in the design, development and realisation of complex infrastructures.
Our client is a civil engineering firm established in Switzerland, working on large-scale projects in the fields of road, rail infrastructure and civil engineering structures. Their development is based on an approach combining technical excellence, close partnership and the ability to manage demanding projects while respecting the highest quality standards.
Your role
You take full responsibility for infrastructure projects, from the initial study phases to the commissioning of the structures.
As a true conductor, you ensure the coordination of internal teams, specialised contractors, companies and clients. You are responsible for the proper management of mandates both technically and financially and organisationally.
Your role requires a global vision of projects as well as a strong ability to anticipate issues related to planning, costs, risks and execution constraints. You ensure a constant balance between technical requirements, client expectations and operational imperatives.
You also act as the main point of contact for the various project partners and actively contribute to the quality of relationships developed with public authorities, government bodies and construction stakeholders.
Your responsibilities
You lead the studies and various design phases of projects, ensuring their technical and economic coherence.
You ensure the overall planning of mandates and coordinate all stakeholders to guarantee respect for deadlines, budgets and defined objectives.
You supervise tender procedures and support clients in processes related to public procurement.
You manage the construction works and site monitoring, with regular presence on site to guarantee the quality of the work and proper interface management.
You supervise and support project teams, promote information flow and contribute to the skills development of colleagues.
Finally, you actively participate in technical reflections and the development of innovative solutions addressing current challenges in mobility, sustainability and spatial planning.
Your profile
You hold a degree as an EPF, HES Engineer or equivalent recognised in Switzerland, or a Technician ES qualification complemented by solid professional experience.
You have at least five years’ experience within a civil engineering firm in Switzerland, with significant exposure to project management and site supervision in the field of road and/or rail infrastructure.
You master VSS and SIA standards as well as procedures related to public procurement. A good knowledge of the Swiss regulatory environment is a prerequisite for this role.
You are comfortable with project management tools and particularly proficient with Messerli software.
