The position is attached to the Department of Women, Children and Adolescents, which has the mission to provide quality care tailored to the needs of women at every stage of their lives and to address the health issues faced by newborns, children and adolescents from birth up to the age of 16. It works towards the development of advanced services and centres of expertise in specialities.
The position is linked to the Paediatrics, Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinical Research Platform. The research platform aims to support the investigators of the Department in setting up and conducting their research projects.
We are looking for a male midwife or a midwife to provide services for clinical research projects carried out within the department’s clinical research platform, particularly in connection with the gynaecology and obstetrics service but who can also contribute to paediatric projects, within the limits of their competencies.
As part of your duties, you participate in the setup and conduct of clinical trials and other studies of the platform.
You schedule appointments with patients, coordinate between the various stakeholders of a study (within the institution and externally) and support the patients.
You provide care related to clinical studies, collect information necessary for the clinical research protocol and perform examinations planned within the protocols.
You receive examination results and enter them into the database of ongoing studies.
Additionally, you work between the maternity site (gynaecology and obstetrics service) and the Children’s Hospital (paediatrics).
Qualifications
You hold a HES-SO Bachelor’s degree in midwifery or possess an equivalent midwifery qualification recognised by the Red Cross.
You have a genuine interest in research.
You demonstrate good team spirit and proven interpersonal skills. Furthermore, you are capable of working autonomously, relying on your organisational skills and initiative.
For non-French speakers, a C1 level in spoken and written French is required.
Additional Information
The working hours are regular but require some flexibility to adapt to workload variations related to the availability of other staff members of the structure, the different studies, and notably the need for patient recruitment. No night work. Weekend work is rare but possible.
