Job Description

Your mission

The real estate management department directs the accommodation strategy for beneficiaries and the deployment of the institution’s administrative premises and optimises the management of its income-generating property portfolio. It also manages, under mandate, the real estate assets of four private foundations. As part of its new organisation, the function strengthens its real estate development.

Under the responsibility of the deputy director, you work towards the growth and enhancement of the real estate portfolios of Hospice général and the mandating foundations. To this end, you support the functional management in the development, breakdown and implementation of the development strategy and propose project programmes for the various property portfolios.

Your main activities

  • You research, analyse, develop and realise real estate investment opportunities within the framework of the property policy of each owner (income-generating, accommodation and operational premises portfolios);
  • You manage studies and the launch of major construction and enhancement projects and ensure their follow-up by coordinating the various stakeholders, including internal or external technical contributors as well as public authorities and partners;
  • You lead the design and execution of demolition-reconstruction, extension or major transformation-renovation projects, in close connection with the Projects department;
  • You organise and supervise the delegation of prospecting, project management assistance and project management missions to external contractors;
  • You prepare the financial plans for projects and monitor commitments;
  • You provide forecast figures for investment envelopes and cash flow needs to be integrated into multi-year planning;
  • You represent Hospice général and the foundations as project owner and ensure the defence of their interests;
  • You conduct various studies in the real estate field (market, regulations and practices, appraisals and property values, etc.) and prepare summary reports;
  • You collaborate transversally with other departments, particularly Property Management and Projects as well as Energy Transition, acting as an expert reference in project development.
Qualifications

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, economics, urban planning or architecture, complemented by a master’s degree in real estate or equivalent training;
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale real estate operations;
  • Excellent knowledge of the legal context and administrative systems;
  • Knowledge of public procurement regulations is an asset;
  • Excellent command of common IT and information tools as well as the French language;
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills and a sense of planning and organisation;
  • Good interpersonal skills, negotiation ability, initiative and autonomy.
