The raw materials manager plans the extraction and provision of materials necessary for production, while ensuring the restoration of extraction sites. He/she manages the operation of the sites optimally, respecting quality standards, legal requirements and JURA Materials STPS standards. He/she ensures the continuous availability of raw materials, limits the environmental impact of activities and manages the cost control of his/her department. As an ambassador of the company’s values, he/she guarantees responsible and efficient operation.
- Plan and coordinate extraction, backfilling and restoration of extraction sites
- Transmit daily operating instructions, monitor and adapt them if necessary
- Ensure the chemical mix necessary for production
- Organise cleaning, maintenance and preventive upkeep of infrastructure (buildings, transport and crushing installations, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with current legislation (Opair, OLED, OTD, OEaux) and conditions stipulated in operating permits
- Participate in investment requests and budget preparation
- Plan, in collaboration with the infrastructure maintenance manager, the upkeep of grounds (mowing, treatments, etc.)
- Evaluate new alternative materials, manage their acceptance and use
- Coordinate and prepare reports related to raw materials, environment and landfill
- Systematise controls of various activities on the quarry sites (documentation of performance indicators, progress, forecasts/modelling, vibration measurements, etc.)
- Monitor vibrations related to blasting
- Participate in projects related to raw materials
- Organise and coordinate work of external companies commissioned by his/her department or Juracime
- Supervise subcontracting and the office responsible for environmental monitoring of site operations
How to get involved with us
Professional profile
- University degree in Earth Sciences or equivalent qualification
- Knowledge in technical geology - engineering geology and solid mechanics is an asset
- Proficiency in GIS usage
- Experience in project management
- Knowledge of OLED is an advantage
- Experience in quarry management and knowledge of cement manufacturing processes are significant advantages
- French: native language, English & German: fluent
- MS Office, SAP: very good knowledge
- Entrepreneurial spirit and goal-oriented
- Strong talent for planning and organisation
