The Directorate of Digital Transformation and Augmented Intelligence (DTN-IA) supports the digital transformation of the institution. It designs, manages, and develops the information system of the HUG, playing a key role in the development of innovative digital products to enhance hospital performance and quality of care. In this regard, it notably contributes to:
Improving the patient journey before, during, and after hospitalisation;
Optimising hospital flows;
Supporting healthcare professionals with suitable tools that reduce administrative burden;
Strengthening clinical research and innovation, notably through artificial intelligence;
Positioning the HUG as a major player in digital health.
The DTN-IA operates a large-scale technological environment, including more than 13,500 workstations, 2,500 servers, and over 500 applications, accessible continuously (24/7). It meets the digital needs of more than 13,000 employees as well as several partner institutions.
A hospital-specific feature: the DTN-IA develops, according to ISO 13485 certified processes, a cutting-edge integrated patient record. Its scope includes the integration of advanced biomedical equipment and specialised applications for medical-technical platforms. The DTN-IA also serves the hospital's operational management. In this context, and like a city within a city, the HUG operate complex logistical and financial processes, managed via an ERP at the heart of institutional processes.
Committed to a dynamic of excellence, and partners with several innovation and research organisations, the DTN-IA supports daily activities while building the hospital of tomorrow, relying on best practices and the most demanding standards.
In a development context, the DTN-IA is seeking a Project Management Officer (PMO), a member of its management committee, and deputy to the Directorate of the DTN-IA.
In this strategic position, you play a central role in the governance and management of the digital project portfolio as well as in the preparation and monitoring of the investment budget within the framework of five-year investment plans. You thus coordinate the prioritisation of projects in line with the roadmaps of digital products in collaboration with governance bodies.
From a global management perspective, the aim is to develop a consolidated vision of the project portfolio to support the control of institutional commitments, optimise resource allocation, and facilitate strategic decision-making. This approach involves aligning requests with institutional priorities, available resources, and the actual capacity of teams to deliver, ensuring a portfolio that is both sustainable and realistic. In this context, the role also includes the preparation, monitoring, and consolidation of the HUG IT investment budget, under the responsibility of the Directorate's Administrative and Financial Manager, ensuring alignment with institutional processes and governance bodies.
Operationally, the role consists of ensuring the overall management of a portfolio of approximately 150 projects per year, guaranteeing rigorous monitoring of planning, progress, budgets, and risks. This includes supporting project managers in their daily management as well as developing and updating dashboards intended for the HUG Executive Committee and the DTN-IA. Particular attention is paid to risk anticipation, identification, and the implementation of appropriate corrective measures. Direct management of certain projects may also be undertaken depending on organisational needs.
Finally, the mission is part of a governance and continuous improvement approach, aiming to structure and evolve practices. This is reflected in the implementation and application of standards, methodologies, and project management tools, as well as in the monitoring and development of project managers' skills. This role is exercised in close collaboration with all DTN-IA services, while actively participating in the HUG PMO community to strengthen coordination and coherence among the various stakeholders.
