What you achieve

• You take responsibility for the strategic and operational purchasing of slaughter animals of the cattle species throughout Switzerland for our processing plants
• Building, maintaining and further developing long-term sustainable supplier relationships with livestock traders and farmers
• Monitoring and analysing the entire slaughter livestock market to make optimal purchasing decisions
• Conducting price negotiations and concluding supply contracts
• Carrying out quality controls, preparing budgets and reporting
• You drive a modern sourcing process forward, work interdisciplinarily in agile teams and support digitalisation and optimisation projects
• Regular visits to suppliers and partners throughout Switzerland

What you bring

• Education: Completed vocational training (EFZ)
• Field: In a sector-related industry with further training in the commercial field or higher qualification
• Professional experience: Several years of experience in livestock purchasing / livestock trading / agriculture or a related field
• You bring several years of industry knowledge and professional experience in livestock trading, agriculture or a comparable function
• Good knowledge of the Swiss meat and slaughter livestock market
• Good contacts in Swiss agriculture and livestock farming are an advantage
• You have healthy self-confidence and assertiveness, strong communication and negotiation skills as well as entrepreneurial thinking and high cost awareness
• German (C1)
