Mandated by one of our clients, we are looking for a:
Internal Machining Manager
Desired profile:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- Proven experience in team management
- Strong knowledge of various machining equipment
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team
- Proficiency in the Microsoft suite (Excel, Access, Word, Visio, PowerPoint)
- Very good knowledge of continuous improvement tools and methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC preferred)
- Knowledge of SAP is an asset
- Ability to unite and motivate cross-functional teams, direct and indirect collaborators
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability
- Languages: French and English, another language is an asset
- Knowledge of standards and regulatory requirements specific to the industrial sector

Main responsibilities:
- Define and implement manufacturing strategies for milling and turning machines (CNC machines) to achieve set objectives (machine utilisation rate, productive hours)
- Ensure a high level of quality by minimising non-conformity rates
- Ensure proper implementation of the 4-year apprenticeship programme to guarantee optimal and efficient allocation of training hours and timely attainment of the Polymécanicien CFC
- Identify process improvement and cost reduction opportunities, implement solutions to increase efficiency and productivity
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to monitor operational performance and make necessary adjustments
- Train and support teams on new processes and improvement opportunities
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the department's main processes
- Ensure all processes comply with applicable laws, regulations and operational standards (ISO and ESG)
