The Energy Service (ENE) is tasked with supporting the transition of the City of Geneva's estate towards renewable energies, based on the " 100 % renewable by 2050 " strategy. As the competent service, it manages energy procurement, oversees the technical and energy design of buildings and projects, operates heating, ventilation and control installations, and ensures the energy monitoring of the entire administrative and financial estate of the City. Works Manager at 100%




Your mission and responsibilities

- Supervise, support and provide technical assistance to the team of HVAC technicians and electricians.

- Lead, coordinate and oversee all maintenance, renovation and transformation works of HVAC and electrical installations.

- Ensure regulatory compliance, technical quality, cost control and respect of deadlines for the works carried out.

- Manage the administrative and financial aspects of the unit.

- Be responsible for the technical documentation and databases of the unit.

- Propose technical improvement solutions aimed at optimising the energy performance, reliability and durability of the installations.

- Collaborate closely with the operations manager to ensure coherence between routine maintenance, operation of installations and works.

- Participate in studies, preliminary projects, monitoring of works and commissioning in collaboration with the service engineers, while ensuring continuity between major projects and the unit’s works.

Your profile

- Hold a technician diploma (ES level).
- Have at least 5 years’ experience in team management and conducting HVAC and/or electrical works.
- Be familiar with laws, regulations, SIA standards and technical requirements related to construction and building technology, as well as environmental protection regulations in force in Geneva.
- Knowledge of occupational hygiene laws is an asset.
- Be proficient with common computer tools.
