IMAD is a pioneering and leading institution in home care in the canton of Geneva. It provides care, support, prevention, and health promotion services 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, to more than 18,000 patients of all ages, 25% of whom are under 65 years old.
Buildings with supervision for elderly people (IEPA) bring together independent apartments, where elderly tenants have full tenancy rights, as well as communal areas for various recreational activities, allowing them to remain autonomous in a secure environment.
Social Coordinator in IEPA / in Pool R2 (Right Bank) / 100% / Permanent Contract (Social Background Desired)
- Ensure the safety and well-being of tenants by taking necessary measures
- Organise communal life within the building and provide recreational activities
- Provide social and administrative assistance to tenants who request it (e.g., ensuring tenants' access to social rights, helping with financial management, as well as handling correspondence and requests from internal or external IMAD partners, etc.)
- Offer specific services for home care and contribute to the interdisciplinary care of tenants through coordination with various partners
- Work closely with IEPA team leaders and manage the social management administration in accordance with IMAD procedures
- Ensure follow-up and partnership with building owner foundations, agents (property managers, companies) within the framework defined between the different partners
- Provide on-call duties during weekends and public holidays.
Qualifications
- Bachelor HES-SO in Social Work or diploma recognised as equivalent by the Swiss Conference of Universities of Applied Sciences and Universities of Social Work (SASSA)
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the social field or healthcare (experience in geriatrics or psychiatry required)
- Ability to work independently AND mobility within the Canton
- Knowledge of the Geneva social/health network
- Ease in relating to elderly people
- Administrative rigour and organisational skills
- Good command of standard computer tools.
