Manage projects in French-speaking Switzerland

VELUX Commercial Switzerland Ltd is one of the leading suppliers of glass or synthetic domes and rooflights. This small unit, composed of around twenty specialists, is part of the VELUX group and is recognised by architects, engineering offices and craftsmen as an innovative and reference partner and service provider. The diversity of its product range as well as its expertise in planning and project management in the construction sector contribute to the growth of their market shares. To strengthen its team in French-speaking Switzerland, we are looking for a qualified individual with expertise in project management to fill the position of Project Manager for Roofing Solutions.

You will receive thorough training at headquarters and from your colleagues in German-speaking Switzerland to ensure successful integration. You will have the opportunity to familiarise yourself with the products as well as the administrative tools. For the future coordination of projects, you will be supported by the technical office team, responsible for calculations and plans. An essential link will also be established with the Sales Manager in French-speaking Switzerland, who develops and acquires the contracts that you will manage as project manager. Tasks

• Direct contact with craftsmen, architects and clients in the region where you operate in French-speaking Switzerland
• Rigorous planning and preparation of projects after receipt of orders
• Preparation, verification and management of project documents, validation of material orders
• Requesting quotes and awarding contracts to subcontractors for the execution of works
• Preparation of construction sites and support of executing companies on site
• Ensuring processes and controlling construction sites in accordance with current guidelines
• Close collaboration with the operations manager and colleagues in the sales department

Your profile

• Technical training in the field of metal construction, carpentry or roofing
• Experience in project management, enthusiasm for your profession
• Computer skills in Office programmes and mastery of internal applications
• Enterprising and autonomous personality
• Excellent communication skills in French and oral command of German
