We are looking for Night Watchmen (ASE) for our client in the canton of Geneva as part of long temporary assignments.



Night Watchman (ASE)



Your mission:

  • Ensure an active and reassuring presence during the night with the residents
  • Ensure respect for the institutional framework and accommodation regulations
  • Guarantee the safety of people, premises and equipment
  • Carry out regular rounds and report any particular situation
  • Welcome late arrivals according to current procedures
  • Manage emergency or crisis situations calmly and professionally
  • Provide attentive listening and first-line support to residents
  • Participate in conflict prevention and de-escalation of tensions
  • Write written transmissions and ensure information relay to the day team
  • Collaborate with emergency partners (police, ambulances, social services) when necessary
  • Ensure the proper functioning of the establishment during the night
  • Participate in team reflections and continuous improvement of practices

Required skills:

  • CFC of Socio-Educational Assistant (ASE) or equivalent training
  • Experience in social or educational support of adults in precarious situations
  • Knowledge of work in emergency accommodation and issues related to social exclusion
  • Experience with a male audience in great social vulnerability
  • Awareness of addiction, mental health and social disaffiliation issues
  • Ability to manage complex, conflictual or crisis situations
  • Ability to work alone during night hours
  • Mastery of communication and conflict management techniques
  • Excellent observation and situation analysis skills
  • Good oral and written communication
  • Writing skills for transmissions and reports
  • Proficiency in common IT tools (MS Office)
  • Knowledge of safety rules and emergency procedures
