Junior Logistics Coordinator


Our client (based in Geneva), a specialist in international trading of industrial products, is looking for a Junior Logistics Coordinator to strengthen their team.

Responsibilities

A true coordination point between the sales teams, the sourcing office based in Asia, European clients and logistics partners, you ensure the complete follow-up of orders, from their creation to their final delivery.

You work on a varied scope combining operational management, logistics follow-up, international documentation and client relations.

Your main tasks

Order management

  • Reception and processing of client orders (PDF / EDI)
  • Verification and validation of data in the ERP
  • Issuing and sending purchase orders to the sourcing teams in China
  • Follow-up of proformas and management of any discrepancies with clients

Logistics follow-up

  • Monitoring international transport flows (booking, shipment, delivery)
  • Analysis of discrepancies and delays via freight forwarder reports
  • Proactive communication with internal teams and external partners
  • Updating client and freight forwarder EDI systems

Documentary and financial management

  • Preparation and follow-up of letters of credit (LC)
  • Processing banking documents (documentary collection, LC)
  • Reception and distribution of operation-related documents
  • Participation in invoicing according to defined incoterms

Dispute management

  • Follow-up of client and supplier disputes until resolution
  • Coordination with quality, transport and sourcing teams
  • Implementation of corrective actions on physical and administrative flows

Candidate profile

Desired profile

  • Higher education such as Bac+2 to Bac+5 in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering or Business
  • A first experience (internship, work-study or 1-2 years) in an international, transport or logistics environment is an asset
  • Good understanding of international trade basics (incoterms, customs)
  • Very good level of English essential; Spanish or German a plus
