Job DescriptionThis Second Chef position is set within a structured environment, where rigour, attention to detail and culinary excellence are central priorities. The Second Chef will work within a human-scale structure, producing around 300 meals per day and will be responsible for supporting a team of 5 colleagues.
As Second Chef, you assist the Head Chef in all daily culinary operations and ensure continuity of service in their absence. You actively participate in the production of dishes, ensuring compliance with the high-quality standards expected by the Eldora group. You are involved in menu development, order management and cost control of ingredients. The Second Chef also ensures strict adherence to hygiene and food safety standards. In your role as a close manager, you supervise, train and motivate a team of 5, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. You contribute to optimising production processes in a demanding collective catering environment, while maintaining a quality approach inspired by gastronomy.
Profile Sought
We are looking for a Second Chef holding a recognised culinary diploma, with significant experience gained in high-end catering, ideally in luxury hotels or gastronomic establishments. Additional experience in collective catering is a real asset for success in this Second Chef role. You are known for your rigour, organisational skills and ability to maintain a high level of excellence within a structured framework. Your natural leadership enables you to unite a team and pass on your expertise with pedagogy. The Second Chef has a thorough knowledge of HACCP standards and excellent priority management skills. Autonomous, committed and quality-oriented, you are comfortable in environments where versatility and adaptability are essential.
