Les Transports Publics Neuchâtelois SA (transN) originate from the successive mergers of companies in the canton of Neuchâtel. Specialising in the operation of a network of public rail and road transport, both urban and regional, we carry 27.5 million passengers per year across 38 lines and 293 km of network.

LC Specialist Fitter (2-year fixed-term contract)
Purpose of the role
As an LC specialist fitter, you carry out inspections and maintenance work on traction current installations (LC).
If you hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC), supporting the team leader, you also maintain the overhead contact line network of transN in a condition that guarantees the safety of people, property, and the operational reliability of the railway and trolleybus.
If you have OCVM training, you additionally perform shunting movements and drive trains according to category A40 across the entire transN railway network.
Tasks and responsibilities
In this capacity, your duties will include:
Contributing to the construction and maintenance of the overhead contact line network for trains and trolleys.
Actively contributing to the constant monitoring of the network to detect faults.
Accompanying shunting movements necessary for the maintenance of the railway infrastructure.
Actively contributing to the implementation of safety measures on construction sites.
Maintaining and programming electronic control installations for points / frequency control for the trolleybus overhead line.
Carrying out assembly, maintenance, and fault clearance interventions on railway and trolleybus contact lines.
Autonomously executing protection and earthing/short-circuiting work as required.
Performing or issuing electrical shunting orders on contact line installations and/or transmitting them.
Ensuring collaboration with external partners on various construction sites.
Regularly performing night work.
Providing on-call service 7 days a week, 24 hours a day (residence within 30 minutes) and occasionally irregular working hours to guarantee the availability of installations.
Your profile
Federal VET Diploma (CFC) in electrotechnics (network electrician, electrical installer, assembly electrician, etc.).
Completed crane operator and slinging training (category C).
Basic knowledge of Office tools.
Holder of driving licences category B & C (heavy goods vehicle).
Incorporate health and safety requirements.
