As part of the development of our activities in the "Operations" field, we are advertising a position for:
Your mission
According to the strategy defined by the "Service Design" division, you will design the timetables for lines and drivers. You will analyse journey times based on measurements from network regulation while taking into account field constraints and infrastructure developments. You will create the graphical timetables for the network lines and their layout. You will ensure the proper transmission of this information to the units concerned for the drivers’ shift schedules. To successfully carry out your mission, you will conduct the necessary studies and simulations (creation/modification of lines or timetables, production optimisation, etc.).
Your main responsibilities
- Measure the economic and social impacts related to the creation or modification of lines on the network,
- propose solutions to problems related to drivers’ timetables,
- construct graphical timetables for lines respecting predefined constraints (frequencies, connections, synchronisation between lines, etc.),
- in compliance with laws, ordinances, statutes and current models, construct agent days according to requirements (holidays, shifts, public holidays, etc.) as well as the corresponding shift schedules,
- handle, after analysis, various complaints regarding timetables,
- develop and provide statistical documents based on the timetables of lines and drivers.
Your profile
- Higher education in mathematics and/or computer science, complemented by training on timetable construction software (ideally Hastus),
- at least 5 years of experience in theoretical construction (Methods office),
- rigour, precision and team spirit,
- proficiency in Excel and good knowledge of other office tools (Word, PPT, Acrobat, etc.),
- good knowledge of the city and Canton of Geneva would be a plus.
